Meet the Team
Amanda Sapirstein,
M.S., L.Ac.
Every Body holds the key to their own healing mechanism. Sometimes our Bodies need help locating and utilizing those keys. Amanda practices an array of Chinese Medical modalities including acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, bodywork/massage techniques, herbal formulations, and dietary guidance to support her clients' access to a thriving experience of life. The goal is to create a space in which every patient can come closer to "cracking their code," thus facilitating holistic resolution of discomforts and disharmonies experienced on physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual planes.

With an academic background in Biopsychology, extensive clinical training in East Asian medical modalities, and personal experience throughout the realms of athletics, women's health, dietetics, and autoimmune disease, Amanda's focus tends to be a synthesis of tried-and-true approaches. With this, there is an understanding that no two bodies are identical, and each client presents with a unique tapestry that requires a dynamic and personalized treatment plan.
Martha Jin,
M.S., L.Ac.
Laura Schlieske received a Masters degree of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine in 2006 and licensed in 2007. Originally from Minneapolis, MN, where she was introduced and convinced of the many benefits of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, Laura moved to Santa Barbara in 2003. After obtaining her license, Laura maintained a private practice, but decided there was a disconnect with the high prices and frequency needed to actually get results from acupuncture. She was contacted by Jennifer Potthast to collaborate her vision to start a community clinic – and the rest is history.
